PHOENIX -- For the third time in six days, a big rig crash has closed part of Interstate 10 in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say a semi-truck overturned Tuesday afternoon on I-10 near the Riggs Road exit south of Chandler.
A westbound lane of I-10 was closed during the rush hour and traffic is being diverted. It was reopened about 6:00 p.m.
DPS said they cleaned up some spilled fuel from the rollover and the big rig's driver escaped injury.
Last Wednesday morning, a semi-truck hauling mulch rolled over on I-10 near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at the I-17 junction in Phoenix.
On Thursday morning, the driver of a big rig was killed when his semi-truck crashed into a barrier on Interstate 10 in Tempe and caught fire.
