PHOENIX -- USAA announced Tuesday that it is bringing more jobs to the Valley.

The national insurance company is expanding its north Phoenix campus, which will create 1,000 jobs. General manager Brandon Carter said by the end of 2015 the company plans to fill those openings with veterans.

The campus expansion will expand by a 380,000 sq. ft. new facility. The positions are "high-paying, high-professional jobs," Carter said.

Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton said USAA's expansion will continue to help the city's economy grow. USAA already employs more than 3,000 in Arizona.

needs to get out of phoenix. Stanton is a clown and a horrible mayor. Go to one of the other cities and you will be better service and lower taxes. Plus, a better environment for families.
