PHOENIX -- The Nevada Sheriffs' and Chiefs' Association said Arizona concealed-weapon permits will no longer be recognized in their state.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the group voted unanimously, citing Arizona's arms training requirements aren't up to Nevada's standards. It goes into effect this week.

Arizona concealed-weapons permits are still accepted in three dozen other states.

KTAR's Jim Cross contributed to this article.

    Nevada cops know that Arizona's
gun nut legislature does't care who carries a gun concealed, nor how incompetent they are in its handling. Why should Nevadans be exposed to the same dangers from an Arizonan who doesn't know which end of a gun is up. Good decision.

Not even a player - but thinks they're an expert on the game. Too bad the libtard talking points you regurgitate don't gain traction among the audience you seek to bamboozle. And doesn't the Nevada legislature need to perform the legal action required to do this?

Many states have a receprical law...
which means they will honor another states CCW "CARD" as long as the other does the same, AZ got around this by not requiring the card IN AZ. If you are an AZ resident with a card I would bet it is honored in NV, OR, MN or anywhere else. But if you are an AZ resident without the CARD you cannot expect to carry in any other state.

    I wonder...
If the criminals have bothered to get a CCW? If so, will they leave their weapons at home when travelling to Nevada? You don't need a gun in Nevada, its perfectly safe there. Nobody needs to worry about random gun fire, runaway vehicles, or fiery explosions on the strip...

    Yeah, that's great but
like the saying goes, "It's only illegal if you get caught." Doubt this will change anyone's thinking or travel habits.

    Lacking substantive replies, the KTAR
Name Calling Brigade exercises its First Amendment right to put its slow wittedness on display. Meanwhile, yretta gives his nod to criminally oriented thinking. All in all, a typical day on the KTAR board. NV cops look after the welfare of their communities by calling out Arizona's clueless gun worshipers.
