Scottsdale is getting a taste of Hollywood, as a new California-style night club is opening in north Scottsdale.

According to Phoenix Business Journal, Scottsdale resident Randy Davis, who used to own a club in Southern California, is opening Hollywood Live in the at Promenade Shopping Center.

Along with a stage, a dance floor, two bars and a VIP lounge, the venue will offer food, drinks and live entertainment.

Davis doesn't plan on stopping at just one location, but instead intends to spread Hollywood Live across the country.

"This concept can go nationally," Davis said. "With the name and rights we have, we feel very strongly about it."

the Hollywood themed club "Hollywood Live" has joined the long list of failed venues in the Scottsdale market. The owners blame the failure on a weak economy. They plan on re-opening in the Fall of 2014 with a new concept that has to be announced. The saga continues. Peace

    Hollywood Style?
Doesn't sound any different than the 50 other night clubs that have been around since I was a college student. You'll be the biggest thing for all the hip/famous until the next new nightclub comes along. Then you'll be barely making it until your lease runs out

    A wannabe club actually
I have a strange concept, but if I wished to go to a Hollywood style club, I would go to HOLLYWOOD. This is nothing but a Scottsdale club wanting to be something it isn't and won't be.
