DEWER-HUMBOLDT, Ariz. -- Prescott National Forest officials plan Friday to start a prescribed burn on about 2,000 acres in eastern Yavapai County.

Officials said predicted temperature and humidity conditions appear favorable for burning to reduce fuels that have accumulated in the forest.

The burn is planned in an area approximately eight miles east of Dewey-Humboldt and north of Highway 169.

The burn is subject to favorable weather conditions and could continue until Tuesday.
