PHOENIX -- Gasoline prices for Arizona have hit a five-month high.

Officials with Triple-A Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is $3.74 a gallon. That's more than 11 cents higher than last week and a rise of 56 cents since January.

This week's national average is $3.78 per gallon, up by less than a penny from last week.

Triple-A analysts say refinery maintenance and the higher cost of crude oil have kept gasoline prices high so far this year.

Tucson has the lowest average gasoline price in Arizona at $3.53 a gallon while Yuma has the highest at $3.86.

Wyoming has the lowest average gas prices in the continental U.S. at $3.28 a gallon with California having the highest at $4.23 a gallon.

    But don't worry...
According to some analysts, this will not effect the economy in the long run. Who are they kidding! Have the prices on basic commodities gone down? No, and in fact have been going up at a steady rate. Why? Businesses will say gas prices have driven up their costs. Yet when gas prices go down (which is becoming less common of an event) prices rarely go down at your local businesses.

Think we aren't being controlled??...look at the clip by Conan O'Brien where all the news casters repeat the same crap from their teleprompters...."But you didn't need me to tell you."..You'll pay an arm and a leg for food..but your health care is luckily free! Totally balances out just like our national debt. RECOVERY IS AWESOME!
