Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio sustained a broken left shoulder on Thursday after he fell.

According to a statement, Arpaio was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he was in good spirits.

Arpaio joked with the emergency staff about being happy the injury was to his left arm not his right as he needs his right arm for his Smith and Wesson and his Smith Corona!

Arpaio will take a few days off to recover. No surgery is needed.

    about Joe good or bad that is got to hurt more senior citizens die from bone chips that float through your bloodstream after a fall be it your hip or shoulder its the bone fragments that cause a lot of grief..actually after living here for 40 years thats the first picture of Joe i have seen he did not have a sneer or smirk on his face..Joe is now like the ex Pope hes an old man in ill health..
