TUCSON, Ariz. -- Authorities say a man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a crash killed a motorcyclist in Tucson.

Tucson police say 31-year-old Anthony Valdez allegedly was driving his vehicle while impaired Wednesday night.

Police say Valdez allegedly failed to yield and turned in front of 57-year-old Richard Bean.

They say Bean was wearing a helmet and his motorcycle struck the front passenger side of Valdez's car.

Police say Bean died of his injuries while being transported to University of Arizona Medical Center.

Authorities didn't immediately know Thursday if Valdez has an attorney yet.
