2 men suspected in a Tucson bank robbery arrested
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Authorities say two men suspected in the armed robbery of a Tucson bank are in custody.
Tucson police said Thursday that 20-year-old Evan Curtis Hill and 48-year-old John Murphy each have been booked into the Pima County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery and aggravated robbery.
Both men were arrested after a chase through the city's midtown area.
Police say a 911 call came in just before noon Wednesday about an armed robbery at the Bank of the West.
Witnesses say a man entered the bank with a handgun, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say an officer spotted a vehicle in the area believed to be linked to the robbery.
The officer chased the car and the two men inside were eventually arrested.
