PHOENIX -- Arizona Republican Congressman Paul Gosar said President Barack Obama is far more interested in racking up political points and creating panic than he is in finding a solution to the impending sequester.

"It's very obvious that he is," he said. "In fact, it has more of a flavor in Arizona because he's releasing illegal immigrants from prison in advance of this just to put pressure on lawmakers."

Gosar said Obama took a page right out of the Fidel Castro playbook regarding the release of immigrants for the totally wrong reason.

"People expect our government to act wisely, not turn loose people who have violated the law," he said. "This is outright extortion."

Gosar said these cuts will go through and the country will be just fine.

The $85 billion package of federal spending cuts will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Friday unless Congress and the White House can reach a compromise.

This was the Presidents idea was agreed upon
by both Parties. The President thought he could scare people into "compromising" so he could get what he wanted. He even created a bi-partisan group to resolve the indifferences before the original deadline and what happened? Nothing, it got kicked down the road then Obama got a bunch of tax revenue and no cuts. Now he is back for more and as a "Leader", he has gone as far as to instill fear into Americans with fabricated lies. A leader doesn't scare people, he figures things out and gets things done. Not this guy, he sits back and blames everyone else. He is weak and not a Leader.

Never let it be said that President Obama has failed to spend time with Republican leaders in seeking an alternative to automatic budget cuts that are due to hit most federal departments Friday. On Wednesday for example, the president gave GOP lawmakers as much as seven minutes.

    So Called Sequester
How can anyone take seriously the various tales of cuts the "Sequester" will bring? Lets see; one day before the "Sequester" is supposed to take effect the administration announces aid of $60 million for the so called "Syrian" rebels (i.e. what appears to be Sunni Moslems from various parts intent on killing everyone in Syria who is not one of them). I wonder how many of the people who are said to be going to suffer from the Sequester will pleased that large amount going to help Syrian rebels.

Those removing the blinders will recognize . . .
that he is not seeking a solution to the impending sequester. It needs no solution, and he knows it. Rather, he is redefining its meaning, promoting the lie to the under informed masses, and then building on the drama to grab more control under the guise of victimization. We will hear less of the Bushs-fault excuse. Now it will be about needing to do this or that because of sequester. And perish the thought of what pick-and-choose cuts he will continue to drum up. You can be sure they will, as usual, advance his cause.

    cut cut cut
The Sequester is the best thing that could happen to America. We need to cut spending by 60% or more in every area. If we had politicians who would make better decisions with money we wouldnt have to make any cuts. The business world does this all the time to stay profitable so the government can make serious cuts too. After all this doesnt mean the cuts are permanent.
