Arias returns to testify for 11th day in Arizona murder trial
PHOENIX -- Jodi Arias is set to return to the witness stand for an 11th day of testimony Tuesday in the death penalty case against her after a prosecutor grilled her over her numerous lies to authorities.
The 32-year-old is charged in the June 2008 death of her lover in his suburban Phoenix home. She said it was self-defense, but police said she planned the attack on Travis Alexander in a jealous rage. Testimony began in early January.
Monday prosecution hammered Arias about being dishonest with authorities, friends or family even sending the victim's grandmother flowers after she killed him, all in an attempt to throw off suspicion and avoid being charged.
Arias said she was scared and ashamed.
