PHOENIX — Arizona lawmakers are looking to crack down on synthetic marijuana.

A Senate committee advanced two bills Monday that would make it harder for people to use or buy the drug commonly known as spice.

One bill would prohibit businesses with liquor licenses from selling spice. Another bill would expand the state's definition of dangerous drugs and increase the minimum fine of selling or manufacturing dangerous drugs from $1,000 to $25,000.

Roughly 41 states have banned spice, including Arizona.

But law enforcement officials have said the law has had little impact because distributors of synthetic drugs can make minor chemical changes to try to stay ahead of the law.

Some of the effects reported when people smoke these substances include anxiety, vomiting, high blood pressure, seizures, hallucinations and non-responsiveness.

The active drug in marijuana should be prescribed the same way any other drug is. It should be a pill not smoked. They would be able to control the doses better making it more effective.

I agree to the TCH being put in capsule form but some people can not swallow pills due to possibly oral cancer and reconstruction so maybe even a shot. Smoking it becomes a social event for most that are out to abuse. Something you can share with others that we all know will go. It is no different for most that abuse stuff it for the social event of sharing in the activity. It is like going to the bar to meet up with others. I have a hard time thinking that it is used for pain. Might help with nausea for those on chemo treatment during and after due to suppression of appetite.

Next it will be HEMP / THC as a additive to some of these alcoholic beverages. Just Google "Purgatory Vodka" made with hemp seed from Alaska. They say the THC isn't in it just yet. We all know it will be when the government gives the green light. All these of our States are putting up bills to change POT status.

They shipped a lot of this Vodka to our military bases. People started showing up with positive urinalysis. This could get a lot of people released from the military due to Article 92, UCMJ let alone any one else out in the public sector if taking a urinalysis released from their jobs. All just recreational use... pretty sad. Good way to rid of a lot of military personnel. Just think about that not one bullet fired. Wise-up people the take over is happening.
