TUCSON -- Tucson police examining an officer's shooting of a 17-year-old boy accused of pulling a gun on the officer as he fled on foot haven't been able to determine whether the boy was involved in an incident that drew that attention of police in the first place.

Police say the 17-year-old and a 20-year-old man were spotted Sunday morning near a home where a woman complained about people who were ringing her door bell but wouldn't identify themselves.

Spokesman Chris Widmer says investigators haven't been able to determine whether the boy or 20-year-old were involved in the door ringing.

Widmer also says it appears that the two didn't know each other even though they were walking together.

The teen's injury wasn't life-threatening.

The officer who confronted the teen wasn't injured.

no respect for authority. If you pull a gun or act like it to a cop expect to get shot multiple times. Resist arrest or act like a jerk and expect to get tased and take a few punches. All you got to do is just cooperate and show respect.

Quit giving cops a favorable bias.
We are allowing them to become the gastapo. Quit calling the cops when someone is ringing your doorbell and answer it with a gun in hand. We're a wussy generation who thinks it's someone elses job to keep the bad guys away. No wonder we have so many issues. We're just a bunch of babies who can't stand on our own. This behavior welcomes victimization!
