NOGALES, Ariz. — U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano will be in southern Arizona next week to see security operations at the border.

Napolitano will be joined Tuesday in Nogales by U.S. Customs and Border Protection Deputy Commissioner David Aguilar and U.S. Sen. Tom Carper of Delaware.

Carper is the incoming chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, which oversees the nation's capital.

Napolitano, Aguilar and Carper will discuss on-going efforts to secure Arizona's border with Mexico while facilitating lawful travel and trade.

On Feb. 5, Napolitano made a stop to inspect border security in El Paso, Texas.

A bipartisan group of senators — including Arizona's John McCain — want assurances on border security as Congress considers proposals that would bring the biggest changes to immigration law in nearly three decades.

    The scenario
Uncle Janet will visit the Ports and her cronies will tell her exactly what she wants to hear. The truth will not discussed and the trip will be another failure. Uncle Janet will return to DC and declare the border is secure. Obama will then push for reform and like obamacare, will be an utter failure designed to over burden the system.

secure the border is common sense
Border security is not about immigration but about,,,,, Drugs, guns, immigration, sexual assaults, human smuggling, abuse, invasion, terrorist, ID Fraud prevention, stolen property like autos, and people dying. If you care about anything it means you support border security.

    Can she work the border?
Seriously, can she work there unfiltered for about 2 weeks? That is a true border inspection. One day is not going to give her anything. She needs to see all the illegal weapons and drugs hauled out of there. Truth is, our border isnt as secure as she or O-brother thing it is. They sit too hit on their horse to see the real issue.

    SurpiseMe gets it
Border security is everything he mentioned. This administration is trying to make it an issue of a bunch of white, right racist wingnuts that don't want illegals coming in and getting jobs the rest of us won't do. If they make it easier to get in, they are allowing an easier path for the cartels and their agenda. Why is it the advocates of immigration never speak of the abuse, ransom's and inhumane treatment of illegals?

    Nokidding, you ask . . .
why dont advocates for illegals speak of victimized immigrants? Because the uninformed, compliant ones never hear of it. And the highly informed, powerful ones know of it and do not care. Their agenda is not about kindness to people. It is about control and overthrow of US citizens as well as illegal immigrants. The only winner . . . the new ruling class.
