Dead body found inside Mesa apartment complex

MESA, Ariz. -- Police say the body of a man has been found inside a Mesa apartment and they're calling the death suspicious.
Officers responded to the Covina Court Apartments near University Drive and Gilbert Road on Thursday night and discovered a trail of blood leading to a downstairs unit.
The apartment door was left ajar and police entered the apartment. Officers reported finding a man dead with obvious signs of trauma.
Police got a search warrant Friday morning to enter the apartment and are still at the scene.
The name of the dead man hasn't been released yet and police won't immediately say if they have any suspects in the case.
