TUCSON, Ariz. -- A travel industry executive said Tucson may not be hurt much from the planned merger of US Airways and American Airlines.

However, AAA Arizona travel director Amy Moreno said that hinges on the Tucson market supporting existing flights.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, Moreno said the biggest potential for service cutbacks would be in Phoenix or other cities where they could be overlaps between the airlines' route systems.
