Power outage shuts down parts of Tempe, Chandler

A Friday morning mechanical failure left about 1,500 SRP customers without power along the Tempe-Chandler border for a couple of hours.
The utility company said the affected area was McClintock to Dobson roads and Elliot to Ray roads.
Power was fully restored by 11 a.m.
