Mark Kelly to succeed John McCain in 2016?

Arizona Democrats feel as though Mark Kelly, husband to Gabrielle Giffords, would be the best candidate to replace Sen. John McCain in 2016.

Though he is such an ideal candidate among Arizona Democrats, according to ABC News, Kelly does not wish to pursue a political career. His top priorities are his wife’s recovery and running a super PAC that will push for stricter gun control policies.

“She’s the politician in the family, I’m the space guy,” he said.

After his wife’s attack and the recent Connecticut massacre, Kelly has worked diligently in the name of reducing gun violence.
