Phoenix bicyclist is fatally struck by dump truck

PHOENIX -- Authorities say a bicyclist is dead after being hit by a dump truck in Phoenix.
Phoenix police identify the victim as 20-year-old Luis Edwardo Santalla.
They say he was riding his 10-speed mountain bike in a crosswalk at North 19th Avenue and West Broadway Road about 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Phoenix Fire Department personnel say Santalla died at the scene of the accident.
Police say there were no indications of the 31-year-old truck driver being impaired.
They say their investigation is continuing and no charges have been filed at this time.
