Help coming to tribal areas left without drinking water
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- In Navajo and Hopi tribal areas a cold snap broke water lines and left many families and businesses without drinking water are now receiving help.
Coconino County said it is providing a 5,500-gallon tanker trailer in Tuba City to provide potable water.
The Salt River Project said it is sending two four-man crews to the Navajo Nation to help repair broken water lines.
The crews will be taking trucks along with excavation and trenching equipment to the Chinle area.
