Former MCSO deputy's assault trial set in ND

FARGO, N.D. -- A former Arizona sheriff's deputy accused of driving to North Dakota to beat up a man who had an affair with his wife is to stand trial late this winter.
Timothy Abrahamson worked as a detective for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department.
His jury trial has been scheduled for March 12 in state court in Fargo.
Abrahamson pleaded not guilty to an aggravated assault charge in the incident last September.
Authorities said the victim suffered a torn ear, facial cuts, swelling and bruising.
