Mark Kelly, husband of former Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, broke the news of the Phoenix shooting Wednesday during a gun-violence hearing in Washington.

Giffords and Kelly had spoken during the hearing, with Giffords pleading to Congress, "You must act."

While we were having this hearing, and we certainly don't know the details, but in Phoenix, Arizona there is another what seems to be possibly another shooting with multiple victims. It doesn't seem that anyone has been killed but the initial reports are three people injured in Phoenix, Arizona with multiple shots fired. There are 50 or so police cars on the scene.

What Kelly reported was initially correct. It was later confirmed that one person was killed and five more were injured.

Besides, if I wanted a liberal view filled with people that have no concept of thinking, I would turn on cnn, or listen to the idiot from England! Just curious, but what is all this going to accomplish? Great we have someone from Tucson that is testifying about what happened to them. Can we continue to beat a dead horse? It seems the normal M.O. for media is to continually beat something into the ground.

New laws are the only way to stop gun violence...
Because the old ones regarding murder and such weren't enough, *obviously*

    Banning assault weapons
would not have prevented Giffords being shot, as well as the Conn shootings. Same as the shooting today in Phoenix. I agree something needs to be done, but restricting weapons the general public can own is not going to curb the violence in any way shpe or form. (I've noticed that the "fast and furious" has droppped from sight.)

It would have made more sense to
report on the dozens killed in Chicago at the same time the hearings were happening.
