Maricopa County shows dramatic personal income growth
Maricopa County has recorded a growth rate of 383 percent in TPI from 1986 to 2011.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal, Maricopa County had a total personal income of $147.7 billion in 2011 and ranked 89th out of the 455 countries researched in an On Numbers analysis.
Since the mid-1980s, this Phoenix area has swiftly transitioned from approximately 1.5 million residents to 3.8 million.
TPI is the amount of money earned annually by every inhabitant of a particular area.
