El Mirage hosted a ceremony on Jan. 18 that commemorated the beginning of construction on the city’s new 22,000-square-foot police facility.
According to a release, City Manager Spencer Isom said this ceremony was “a milestone in the city’s efforts to bring residents the caliber of public safety protection befitting our growing, thriving community.”
The station will feature increased rooms for evidence, investigations and training. Construction of this complex, which included over ten months of planning, was funded by a bond supported by local voters last November.
