PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Open loves heroes.

All law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency services personnel will be admitted for free at the 2013 Waste Management Phoenix Open.

"It's our way of saying thanks to those who put their lives in harm's way for us every day," tournament chairman Tom Altieri said. Two weeks ago, tournament management extended this invitation to all active, reserve and retired military personnel as well as one escorted guest.

Eligible personnel must provide their official department ID or badge for admission. The tournament, which will played from Jan. 28 to Feb 3, has offered this program since 2002.
