Saturday nights are usually worth the price of admission at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale.

And as the Phoenix Business Journal noted, 2013 was no exception.

This year's main draw, the original Batmobile driven during the 1960s TV show, was put up for auction with the bidding starting at $100,000.

That price quickly went over a $3 million, before Ahwatukee buyer Rick Champagne closed the bidding at $4.2 million much to delight of the auction crowd.

The car had previously been owned by George Barris.

Interesting, I didn't know he kept this car after so long. In the past he has sold and let go of The Munster mobile, Grandpas Coffin dragster, the Monkee Mobile, Starsky and Hutch car and the Green Hornet.

    Really akubra, really...
If this man does indeed have employees who have not received raises, while he lives lavishly, it is perhaps because they deserve to not have raises. If they feel they are working for a tyrant, then perhaps they should exercise their American given rights to quit and find another job. Nobody in this country has a right to make an unfair wage for their unfair contribution to an employer, government, or society.
