PHOENIX — Gun advocates in Arizona have joined nationwide rallies in support of gun rights.

The group Guns Across America Rally for Arizona held Saturday a largely peaceful rally Saturday at the Arizona State Capitol. Hundreds of protesters, some carrying rifles and holstered handguns, waved signs that said "We respect gun rights" and "Defend your constitution before it is too weak to defend."

One man dressed as a Revolutionary War Minuteman carried an antique 1800s-style long rifle, along with sign saying "Tyrants Beware - 1776."

The rally is one of many slated to take place on state capitols across the country thanks to a loosely organized campaign via social media. The rallies were sponsors by the Washington D.C.-based group Political Media.

I don't think Micho is better
..but he sure seems a lot smarter than the rest of you. Its pretty amazing how the US seems to be sinking to the level of the muslim cavemen that flew planes into the twin towers.

LOL. Got another one that doesn't know the Constitution or Foundation of this country. Thanks for the laugh from an anti gun kook.

    Good effort
But unless we take real action to stop this encroachment, within Constitutional law, on behalf of Constitutional law, the destroyers of that law will win. If this issue is not pursued by our thus-far innocuous Congress, the doors of the fort will collapse.

    Yep, Steve
Its way obvious Micho is smarter. This world has gotten so complex that we can't have a bunch of villagers running around with pitchforks and automatic weapons.

A lesson for "unamed and Micho"
Even before the founding of this nation, firearms have been essential to the preservation of life, the enforcement of law and the establishment and protection of liberty. Our Founding Fathers understood how important the gun was to the founding and maintaining of liberty in the U.S. America owes much to the gun. Whether you own one or not, whether you love them or hate them, be wise to remember all that the gun has meant to this nation, hope and pray they stay in the hands of American citizen.

    Our Founders fought
against people who wanted to take guns from citizens. They fought against people who thought they knew better than the common man...sounds a lot like our current administration and the progressive movement.

As Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia
likes to reminds us, weapons regulation was an accepted fact of life at the time our Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution. They understood as well as anyone the importance of regulation. That's why they memorialized the fact of regulation into the Second Amendment. Gun nuts are in deep denial of this fact, and their paranoia leads them to believe that even the slightest level of regulation is an attack on every weapon that they own. Thus the term gun nut.

    Geez Steve!
So, are you saying that without everyone carrying an automatic gun, we wont have any law enforcement or protection of liberty? Well, you are in luck! The army and law have them, so you don't need one. The nonsensical arguments that come from the pro-gun lobby are so utterly ridiculous and fueled by fear that they would laughable if not for all the school kids, theater goers, and mall shoppers that are getting gunned down because you gun nuts cannot control who gets access to your weapons. Times, and technology, have changed, Steve. Change with it!
