TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Casa Grande woman has been sentenced to more than three years in prison and ordered to pay $403,000 in restitution in a tax fraud case.

Prosecutors said 36-year-old Corleen Ladawn Thompson received a 37-month sentence Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Tucson.

She must serve three years of supervised release after completing her prison term.

Thompson pleaded guilty last November to conspiracy to defraud the government by way of false claims.

Prosecutors said Thompson admitted to offering money to people whose identities were used to file fraudulent tax returns for refunds from March 2010 to January 2012.

They said some of the identity information used by Thompson came from prison inmates.

Authorities said at least 150 false federal income tax returns were filed, claiming more than $548,000 in refunds.

One Way Street only people !
When will people learn that when it comes to the government it's always a one way street. They tax us and scam us (hince for the younger generations ... social security and medicare) daily til we all die, but you better not cheat them for even 1 penny. To be honest, don't think 50% of the people in this country will never learn when Jersey Shore & Honey Boo Boo is entertaining to them and govt check is their paychecks ... just saying.
