Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed an executive order this week that requires trainees in state job-training programs to take a drug test.

According to the Huffington Post, Brewer's executive order created the Workforce Arizona Council that, essentially, will be in charge of enforcing a drug-free policy.

Brewer's representatives did not return calls or emails.

    to privacy, which I guess we really don't have anymore. They own you - body, mind and soul. This "drug war" is barbaric, wasteful and pointless, and it needs to stop.

    And this comes from a woman who raised her son to be violent criminal. Perhaps we should also let pedophiles teach our children. Same logic.

    and ignorant for my company to test people for drugs? and about 90% of private companies that want drug free employees?

    Drug testing for private sector: OK. A business owners wants to protect his investments. For public sector: OK. You don't want drug users to be handling important tasks like filing/scheduling and making laws, or for public safety officers to be high. For welfare: Not OK. Assumes all/most welfare recipients are druggies, false positives can be severely consequential to those who actually need help but aren't using drugs, & the most important reason: Constitutional rights. You can't force a man to pee in a cup against his will by holding his hungry children in the balance.
