PHOENIX -- The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office has served a search warrant on a west Phoenix food market that allegedly has some employees using fake identification.

Sheriff's officials say the ID theft raid was executed Thursday afternoon on Lam's Asian International Food Market.

They say deputies received a tip several months ago about a number of the food market's employees possibly working using false identifications.

Deputies say the office's Criminal Employment Squad has identified 21 people working with possible fake IDs at the store's location.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio's office has conducted about 70 workplace raids in recent years looking for illegal immigrants who use false identifications to qualify for jobs and reported almost 500 arrests in the cases.
