CHANDLER, Ariz. -- The Chandler Police Department is looking for a few good men and woman to help fill the ranks.

Starting Wednesday, they'll begin accepting 600 applications for the position of police officer.

Officer Dan Mcquillin said they are only looking for the best of the best.

"We don't pick people that meet the qualification, we want people that exceed the qualifications," he said.

Recruitment closes on Jan. 30 or until 600 applications have been received.

Interested parties can call the recruitment line for more information at (480) 782-3960. Candidates can find the application materials at chandleraz.gov.
