Chandler police hiring new officers

CHANDLER, Ariz. -- The Chandler Police Department is looking for a few good men and woman to help fill the ranks.

Starting Wednesday, they'll begin accepting 600 applications for the position of police officer.

Officer Dan Mcquillin said they are only looking for the best of the best.

"We don't pick people that meet the qualification, we want people that exceed the qualifications," he said.

Recruitment closes on Jan. 30 or until 600 applications have been received.

Sandra moved from the small border city of Yuma, Arizona to study Broadcast Journalism at Arizona State University in the late 90s. Since graduating, she's worked at several local TV stations including Univision, Fox 10 and 3TV.
