Record temperatures reported around Arizona

PHOENIX -- As the Phoenix metro area continues to shiver through its coolest stretch of weather since 1988, other parts of Arizona are reporting record temperatures.
The National Weather Service says Monday morning lows of 21 degrees in Tucson, 11 degrees in Douglas, 10 degrees in Safford and 16 degrees in Sierra Vista either broke or tied previous records.
In northern Arizona, the highest daytime temperature at Flagstaff's Pulliam Airport was 16 degrees, breaking a record of 23 degrees set in 2007. The record low maximum at the Prescott airport was 31 degrees, one degree lower than the record set in 1962.
Another record was broken at Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport, with a daytime temperature of 45 degrees. That's slightly cooler than the previous 46-degree record.
Arizona authorities continue to tell residents to keep their pets inside and cover any sensitive plants or outdoor plumbing.
