KINGMAN, Ariz. -- Kingman officials had to flush the northwestern Arizona city's water system due to residents complaining about horribly tasting and smelly water coming from taps.

City water superintendent George Sedich said the complaints started earlier this month after the city changed how it puts chlorine in the water.

The city has tested the water, and Sedich said it is clean and there's no indication of harmful bacteria.

The Daily Miner reported that the complaints are spotty, with some people complaining about the water and other nearby residents not reporting any problems.
