PHOENIX -- A Sun City mother of three who was arrested after authorities found two methamphetamine labs in her house has been sentenced in a child abuse case.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 36-year-old Brenda Lipe was sentenced Wednesday to three months in jail and three years of probation.

Lipe was arrested last April on suspicion of child abuse and drug possession charges.

Prosecutors say she pleaded guilty to the child abuse charges in November in a plea agreement.

A backyard fire led authorities to Lipe's house west of Phoenix, where two suspected meth labs were discovered.

Sun City police searched her vehicle and say they found a handgun, methamphetamine and a drug pipe.
