A Phoenix police officer was injured with non-life-threatening-injuries in a shooting Sunday, said Sergeant Trent Crump.

The suspect was found and taken into custody shortly after the shooting, according to ABC 15. The officer was shot in the face and stomach.

The shooting happened near 21st and Georgia avenues. Roads in the area were restricted throughout the evening.
