TUCSON, Ariz. -- Travel on the highway up Mount Lemmon near Tucson is being restricted due to severe weather conditions.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department said the highway will remain closed to all motorists except residents and employees with chains or 4x4 vehicles.

The department said visibility is reduced and that there are 8 to 10 inches of new snow.

It's not known when the highway will reopen to general traffic.
