PHOENIX -- Environment regulators have issued a high pollution advisory and ban on wood-burning fires for Tuesday in metropolitan Phoenix.

It marks the fifth straight day that Maricopa County people have been told not to burn wood.

Open burning and use of wood burning fireplaces are generally prohibited.

People with respiratory problems are advised to avoid heavy or prolonged outdoor exertion.

    Whatever !!
I can bet that there will be an "Pollution Advisory" next Christmas and the one after that and the one after that and the one after that !! Its the most popular time to have a fire going, so they will always tell you not to burn !! So burn it if you got it and don't let those government clowns tell you what to do in your own home !!!

    Ridiculous
With the tons of industrial pollution from businesses they decide to go after HOME OWNERS for our pittyfully small fires on Christmas? Reminds me of when they ask for water conservation from home owners but the local golf courses are guzzling water to keep their grass green in the desert.
