A possible explosive device was located at an Anthem, Ariz. bank on Friday, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said.

The device was found at a Wells Fargo Bank location at 39422 N. Daisy Mountain Dr. It appeared to have a timer attached to it.

"We are now determining what that device is and how it got there and all of the things that surround it," said MCSO Officer Christopher Hegstrom.

The bank was evacuated, along with a thousand-foot safe zone around it.

Earlier Friday, there was a bomb scare at a different bank in Anthem.

No further details were available.
