Pedestrian hit by car in critical condition

PHOENIX -- A man is in critical condition in a local hospital after he was hit by car in west Phoenix Wednesday morning.
The accident has closed 59th Avenue southbound at McDowell Road.
Police said the man was jaywalking about 5 a.m. The driver was on her way to work. Police said there were no signs of impairment.
