TUCSON -- A woman who suspected her ex-husband of stealing $80 from her purse called the Pima County Sheriff's Department to report the theft.

That's not all she told authorities.

The Arizona Daily Star reports that she also told a deputy that her ex-husband applied for a job with the sheriff's department.

According to the deputy's October report, the woman confronted her ex and he admitted in a text message and a phone call that he had taken the money.

The report says when a sheriff's detective asked the ex-husband about the theft, the man admitted it.

The woman told a deputy that she felt she needed to report the theft since her husband was an applicant to the sheriff's department.

It was unclear if the man got the job.

this shows his character. This clearly shows he cannot be trusted. Stealing from an ex-wife or stealing from a suspect is all the same.
