Authorities resume search for missing ASU student
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Police searching Tempe Town Lake for a missing Arizona State University student have resumed the search after a resident reported seeing something that resembled a body in the water.
Tempe police spokesman Michael Pooley said Friday that the search for Jack Culolias includes dogs, divers and a Maricopa Sheriff's Office helicopter going over the river basin and the area north of Tempe Marketplace.
Pooley said police received a call Thursday night from a concerned resident who saw an object in the water northeast of the area that crews had searched for three days.
Authorities said Culolias had been kicked out of a Tempe bar Friday night and was suspected of being drunk.
Campus police said Culolias' friends saw him heading to a taxi cab, but he hasn't been seen since. His mother reported him missing Sunday.
