A Border Patrol agent shot and killed a possible illegal immigrant on Sunday, the agency said.

The shooting occurred about 12:25 p.m., when the agent encountered an unknown number of possible illegals about 12 miles northwest of Sasabe, Ariz. The agent and one individual were involved in a physical altercation, which ended when the agent fired his service weapon.

Six other individuals were apprehended shortly after.

    The story doesn't mention anything about the person shot being Hispanic, just possibly illegal. Are you by chance a racist, or maybe just stereotyping? Or maybe you just read the comments and ignore the facts?

    Stupid is not recognizing that despite the situation or the individuals involved, someone died. Illegal or not, hispanic or not. The comments condeming the chemist, only prove that racism is alive and well in Arizona. It's funny how one individual, can bring you all out. The fact is, you have always been here, and are no longer cowards in the closet..

    how come you can come to the defense of chemist who is his/her same post calls anyone who disagrees with him/her remnants of the Tea-Party? think if he/her can dish it , they can take it too. Just because someone dislikes illegal boreder crossers does not make them Tea Party or even wrong. Should someone die? no, but the illegals are getting even more aggressive and at some point a message must be sent.

    My opinion is merely a respnse to the mentality that I am reading. It's unfortunate that the "tea Party" mentality fits the shoe. My response is based on the fact that someone's son or father died. I never mentioned Tea Party, I spoke of the racist mentality....the fact that they are illegal is just an excuse to cover up the racism. You are a "U.S. Citizen", because someone in your family, came from somewhere else. And I would bet it wasn't recently. You and others like you, can tag whatever names you want to these humans, but bottom line, it's all an excuse.
