Chadler Chow. (Mesa Police Department)

A man who allegedly shot an acquaintance before becoming involved in a standoff has been identified, the Mesa Police Department said in a release.

Chadler Chow, 27, allegedly shot the victim at 625 E McKellips around 9 p.m. Monday. The victim was transported to a local hospital and told police Chow was the suspect.

Police located Chow in his apartment, located at 447 W. Eighth St. He refused to come out, but negotiators convinced Chow to surrender.

Chow has been booked on two counts of aggravated assault.
