UA to inaugurate its 21st president on Friday
The University of Arizona will inaugurate its 21st school president Friday with a daylong celebration.
Ann Weaver Hart, who succeeded Robert N. Shelton, will discuss the school's foundations and its future. Several of her predecessors will be in attendance.
The ceremony, which is free and open to the public, will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Centennial Hall, but "We're dedicating the entire day to the inauguration," said planning committee chairman Jory Hancock, dean of the College of Fine Arts.
