Man arrested after trying to slit cabbie's throat
BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. -- An Arizona taxi cab driver is recovering after a customer slit his throat.
Bullhead City police say they arrested 18-year-old Cody Stedman Watts on Monday. Watts was booked into the Mohave County jail on attempted homicide and aggravated assault charges.
Police say the cab driver picked up a man from the Riverside Boat Docks on Nov. 21. The man told the cab driver his name was ``Lucifer'' and slit his throat.
The driver fought back and took the knife from the man, who then pulled out another knife. The man eventually fled on foot.
Police found a backpack and bloody clothing nearby. Watts' driver's license was in the pack.
Watts was found later at a friend's apartment. He had suffered some cuts from the knife fight.
The driver has since been released from the hospital.
