Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said Tuesday she is considering challenging Arizona's Constitution and running for a third term as governor.

"I love what I'm doing," she said. "I think I could continue by making Arizona a better state in which to live and it's just something that's in my blood I guess."

Brewer took over for former Gov. Janet Napolitano, who was named the head of Homeland Security in 2010, something that could allow her to run for a third term.

"I think it's interesting, just the Constitution itself and what it says and how it's being interpreted by people," she said. "Of course, I've been encouraged from people in the state and elsewhere to at least consider it, but I haven't given it that kind of consideration."

The Arizona Constitution currently limits governors to two terms, even if one is a partial term.

    Jan's 3rd term
After this term is over, she can run for a 3rd term, but she has to sit out one term. Then she can run again. " No member of the executive department after serving the maximum number of terms, which shall include any part of a term served, may serve in the same office until out of office for no less than one full term." This comes from the Term limits Prop 107 from 1992. So yes she can run for a 3rd term.

Obama wants to have unlimited terms
obama is trying to do the same thing. he claims the 2 term president makes no sense because the other president reverses what the previous president did. If he can sneak it in one of the bills he will. Obama for president for the next 20 yrs.

Amazing Gov. Sewer has the nerve to
think that she can run for a 3rd term? She just took the AZ Constitution and wiped her butt with it. What an imbecile. Well, what can you expect from a GED governor with minimum education. On the other hand, it would be nice that she run so the Hispanic community pay her back her bigotry and vote her out of office. That would be nice!!!

    No Way..End the Rhetoric
This cow has destroyed social services and education by sweeping funds for her pet projects that lead NOWHERE. She has done nothing to pull us out of this recession. We need a educated governor who can speak and act in an adult manner, who can change the revenue streams, revamp our outdated tax code. Arizona needs a governor that works for the people of Arizona not her own agenda.
