Apparently some Arizonans don't want to be part of the United States anymore.

There's a petition started on the White House page that calls for Arizona to withdraw from the United States. It currently has over 21,000 signatures.

The petition states that Arizona wants to withdraw from the United States to create its own government, citing issues with government reform, health care and human rights.

The petition also states:

The citizens of the great state of Arizona have the right to stand for their principles. That man is granted unalienable rights, which are not the dispensations of the government, but find their beginnings in God and come from God alone. These are the principles that our forefathers stood for, the principles upon, which our Constitution is based, and those in which we firmly place our belief and resolve.

Signatures are need by Dec. 10 to reach a goal of 25,000, which would force the White House to consider the issue.

never will see the light - they're too indoctrinated by Limbaugh and his ilk. It doesn't matter whether their petition has 100 or 1,000 or 1,000,000 signatures - Arizona will not be seceding from the Union - and neither will any other State - just something to keep their little minds occupied now that their plan for Romney winning the election fell through - something to ramble on about in their high-level discussions down at the corner watering hole.

    What whining
What whining little cry babies, playing the victim as usual. Republicans lose an election and they instantly want to take their ball and go home. Probably mostly people who migrated from other States who are signing this ridiculous petition when they need to go back to whatever Southern state they came from. Maybe they can all be packed into Louisiana and then we can have RATIONAL Republicans back in this country. The election is over, it's not the end of the world, get over yourselves.

Wow...at least we're not the only ones!
So just did some research...TWENTY states are doing this, Texas only has 27,000 signatures, but that still beats all the other states at this point. I'm just shocked at our country. This will be a perfect opportunity for someone to wage war on us when so many are so disenchanted with our country. I pray that we can find some sort of means to pull our country back together soon.

    Unbelieveable
This is most likely the dumbest thing I have heard all year. Republicans please listen to me. It is this exact behavior that caused me not to vote for Romney (I am an independant btw) Just friggin stop. PLEASE Stop. Act like you are actually grown ups and don't be part of the problem. If you want my vote in 2016 then start acting like you citizens. Obviously more than 1/2 of the country disagrees with you. Give me a reason to vote Rep.
