3-year-old girl drowns in Glendale pool

A 3-year-old girl drowned Friday in a Glendale pool, the Glendale Fire Department said.
"She was in the care of her grandparents," said Jose Morales with Glendale Fire. "They lost track of her and she somehow slipped inside the pool in the backyard -- there was not a fence -- and that's where crews found her."
Morales said the grandparents called 911 immediately after finding the child.
She was airlifted to a hospital, where she passed away despite life-saving efforts.
