Police: Scottsdale couple's death ruled murder-suicide

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Authorities said the case of a man and woman found dead in a Scottsdale home has been ruled a murder-suicide.
KPHO-TV reported that Scottsdale police said Daniel Peralta, 58, shot and killed his wife, Laura, 52, while she slept, then turned the gun on himself Wednesday morning.
A police spokesman said the couple had argued the evening before.
Police said there had been no previous reports of domestic violence in the household.
Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark said the Peraltas' adult son was living at the house and said he was awakened by two gunshots before finding the bodies of his parents in their home.
